Today's press release:
"Spb Software House has just released a new version of the world's most popular Pocket PC application - Spb Pocket Plus. Spb Pocket Plus 2.5 introduces new idea of Spb product integration. Every new release of Spb products featuring Today plug-ins from now on can be embedded as separate tabs in Spb Pocket Plus Today plug-in. For example the updated version of Spb GPRS Monitor (starting from version 2.3) can be placed now in tab of Pocket Plus plug-in thus saving Today screen area. The new feature is implemented with the idea to save maximum Today screen user area and to provide better Pocket PC user experience.
The new version of Spb Pocket Plus follows the line of company's policy. Every product released stands out with an elaborated user interface, and tested usability and stability - all of which is confirmed by the "Designed for Windows Mobile" logo. Users of Spb products always get such benefits as technical support, a reasonable upgrade policy and many professionally designed skins.
The growing number of Windows Mobile software extends Pocket PC functionality and provides a user with a powerful tool for personal computing and data handling. However, there is a slight problem with this: a Pocket PC unit with a lot of software installed becomes less reliable and stable due to application incompatibility and exhaustion of system resources.
Spb Software House has always been aware of this problem and provides solutions to them. For example, the number of running processes on a Pocket PC is limited to 32. Spb has many applications that must run in the background, and using Windows CE services is a way to save free slots for user applications. Spb used this solution in its programs and shared it with the Pocket PC development community at PocketPCDN.com and Microsoft Developer Network.
Now Spb gives a smart solution for another serious problem of Today screen ergonomics. The space on the Today screen is a limited resource for a Pocket PC user. When a user wants to have several Spb Today plug-ins at once and doesn't want to lose screen space, he/she can benefit from the new feature in Spb Pocket Plus: Spb plug-in tabs. The newest version of Spb Pocket Plus and updated versions of Spb GPRS Monitor and Spb Finance are ready for a new type of close integration. One can integrate Spb's products as Today plug-ins in the form of separate tabs in Spb Pocket Plus, thus saving the Today screen area and avoiding the vertical scrollbar.
Spb Software House believes that product integration will enhance the Pocket PC user experience and make the Pocket PC more comfortable and easy to use.
