Courtesy of Darius Wey over at Pocket PC Thoughts we have news of a new Mobility User group starting up in Perth.

From Pocket PC Thoughts :

The Perth Mobility User Group is starting up in under two weeks and it will be a good opportunity for anyone interested in technology (developers and end-users) to gather as a group and discuss all aspects of mobile devices - from Windows Mobile-based Pocket PCs and Smartphones, to Tablet PCs and Ultra-Mobile PCs (UMPC).

Details for the inaugural meeting are as follows:
When: Tuesday, May 9, 2006 - Starting at 6:00pm. Meetings take place on the second Tuesday of each month.
Where: Fujitsu Australia Ltd, Level 15, 191 St George's Terrace, Perth WA 6000, Australia.
Who: Anyone interested in mobile technology.

Agenda: Microsoft's IT Pro Evangelist, Michael Kleef, will be presenting the features and benefits of Windows Mobile 5.0's Messaging and Security Feature Pack (MSFP) and Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 2 - two key components in Microsoft's Direct Push E-mail experience.

Alongside that, there will be general discussion on the direction of the group over pizza.

If you have specific questions or comments about mobile devices, accessories, software, product development, and even the industry in general, bring them to the meeting and we'll discuss them as a group. And, you're definitely welcome to bring your gadgets for a bit of show-and-tell.

RSVP: If you can attend the inaugural meeting, head over to http://www.aususergroups.org/pmug and register your interest. We look forward to seeing you on the day.
