As we wrap up 2003, Matt M gives us something to look forward to in the new year ...

Phoneshop.com.au - those great guys who sold me my XDA II - are now listing the O2 XPhone (which is the HTC Voyager based device that is also known as the i-mate Smartphone 2, Orange SPV e200, and QTek 8080) for sale at AUD$733.48 (AUD$66 less than the RRP). Naturally, there are none in stock as yet, but they're expected to be in on 13th January 2004. The thing I love about phoneshop in this regard is that they provide a link to email you as soon as it's in stock!

So assuming all is well, and no delays occur with the shipment, we'll be only a couple of weeks into 2004 before yet another new and exciting device hits the Australian market. Definitely one to mark in your calendars.

You can see the O2 Xphone listing - and put yourself down for a notification - over here.

I also noted that their XDA II stock is down to 51. This, and some comments in the forums, leads me to conclude that perhaps the XDA II is turning out to be a very popular little Christmas gift for the professional who has it all. Great news all round, and I can't wait to see all the proud new Australian XDA II (and i-mate Phone Edition) owners in our forums soon!
