Hi all,

New to this forum and I have been reading some of the post re Optus MMS Settings but the problem is still there. I've search the forum as well re Mini S model yet nothing came up.

I tried following this instructions because it appears that it has similarities but yet again it didn't work.

Can someone please help with the following issues?

Setting up Optus MMS
Setting up email (personal email using my ISP - TPG)
Setting of WiFi (to connect internet)

Thanks!

Irwin

Can't help too much with the MMS set up as I'm with Vodafone (although I have heard that Optus can be a bit fiddly to do manually on a pda) so can only suggest going to an Optus store and asking if you can have a fiddle with one of the Win Mobile pda's there that would have all the Optus settings already loaded and try copying them. Worst case, could try their customer service and you might get lucky and find someone who knows what they're talking about. It might seem like an obvious suggestion but have you tried using the Network Wizard in Settings/Connections? I ran it the last time I hard reset my Dopod and it picked up all the Voda settings straight away...

As for email, go into Messages, Menu, Tools, and select New Account - the wizard walks you through it and it should find all your TPG settings automatically. I just tried it (I'm with TPG also but never use their email) and the wizard worked fine. If you have any issues, the wizard lets you do it manually, so all you'll need are your email address, password, and the incoming and outgoing mail server settings which are the same - mail.tpg.com.au (no need to put port numbers).

For Wifi, go to Wireless Lan in Settings and it will give you the option to turn on wifi, then select menu and to to Network Cards and it will show you the available networks that you can select...again, pretty straightforward stuff.

If you need anything else just let us know...
