Hi

I am new to the site, but thought I would answer.

Vista uses WMDC (Windows Mobile Device Centre) instead of ActivSync. To get it to work, you need to install the latest version of WMDC (6.1) from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/devicecenter.mspx and install it.

Once done, it should connect. I use Office 2007 (and Beta 2008 and am having issues with them , but I hear 2003 works fine with it).

Depending on the software version on the phone itself. I have an O² XDA IIs which I am trying to take to to WM6 atm. Once done I think 2007 office should work. But don't quote me on that. I will post more info as I go.

Hope that helps.

as wearbear says, vista doen't use AS but WMDC, follow his link and it a easy set up.

Not sure what office has to do with anything, its the phone that needs to be configure as the modem and then setup in the laptop network setting to use this modem.
