I have dead PDA Medion md40600 JTAG (boot loader is corrupt).I unsolder CPU PXA255 and found jtag-point after some done work. After it soldered a processor back.I used Xilinx DLC5 cable and JflashMM software by Intel.But...This soft support only intel's flashes. In Medion 40600 flash is MD3831 M-systems. Anybody can will prompt me what JTAG-software support PXA255 processor and this flash-chip.

You may want to try OpenOCD. http://openocd.berlios.de

NB, XScale support is fairly new. I don't know of many other good freeware JTAG programmers beside the openwince one. http://openwince.sourceforge.net/jtag/

Yes,JTAG Tools is a good software. Does JTAG Tools support this type of flash (disk-on-chip by M-systems) ?
I am not sure. But however thank you.

Hi,

What progress did you make?
My md40600 is mis-flashed too.
Can you provide me an larger screenshot of the image of above.
And do you have the original firmware off the md40600 also.
You make me happy when you can help me, and i think a lot of people more.
Ad Medion i get zero support, yes i can sent the pda, minimum inspection costs are 65,- euro
For that kind of money i can get me a second hand pda...

Thnx.
