Hi has anyone had any experience with using WM5 and a Haicom 305111 CF Gps ? the reason I ask is that I have the Gps working fine on a HP 2210 running Win2003 but my brother in the UK has just bought a HX 2790 running WM5 and has bought the Haicom 305111 and he cant get it to work as in it wont connect to any sats. I read on another forum where someone had the same problem on a Dell Axim and it could not be resolved so he sent the Gps back for refund , so is there any way to get this going or is it send it back . Also does the Globalsat 338 Bluetooth Gps work on WM5 ?
regards Tony

hey binns 1012, several people here have the BT338 working under WM5.
What is the problem with your brothers Haicom? does it connect to the device at all (as in the GPS program sees it)?

Cheers

HI Fred thanks for reply , what happens is that when he tries to connect using the GpsInfo that was suplied with the Gps he gets the red light on the Gps but cannot get it to find sats , as mentioned in previous post I looked on pocketgps forum and people on there were having probs with it and WM5 . I have one and it works great on my 2210 it has an SD slot built into it so you can have an extra card for more memory

I don't have much experiance with that type of GPS reciever, but I do know that they had a few problems, and one of those is the inability of the PDA and the Card to see each other.
I'm guessing thats the problem here. Especially as the HX 2790 is a WM5 device.
WM5 has broken a lot of "accesories" like this due mainly to the drivers not being updated by the manufacturers of the add-ons.
