Just thought I would start this thread for us to post names of our favorite software compatible with HP iPAQ RW6828, please keep it updated over time, put version numbers if you wish
Here are my current favorites:
- Resco File Explorer - Spb Backup - GPS Speed Sentry - Magic Button - LS Dict 2006
Resco File Explorer does a very good job and is quite flexible and intuitive compared to other ones I've used. Spb Backup, after my recent disasters, Spb Backup did save me a lot of time, and the restored backup seems to be free of glitches.
GPS Speed Sentry, nice interface, make less obvious my lack of sense of directions On top of that, it keeps my wife quiet!

-PocketBreeze. This has the be the best today plugin/PIM front end - on the face of the planet. I would smash the 6828 into tiny pieces if this software didnt work on it
-Wisbar Lite. Works a treat on the 6828, very handy. |

Smash rw6828 into pieces? I think you're lying !
- TCPMP, looks plain and simple but I would prefer it over Media Player 10 anytime. - WorldMate, this program stops me from calling my brother / sister working overseas in bad hours. Its Today plug in is useful.
Osiris, I like PocketBreeze too, but I think its a little resource hungry, maybe its just on my iPAQ?
Also, if anyone knows an application that allows one-way synchronisation, please shout it out.
Eg. home PC, PDA, work PC. PDA sync calendar to home, home sync calendar to PDA. Work PC sync to PDA, but PDA does not sync to work PC. Thats what I want to achieve, ActiveSync doesn't support this. Any sync gurus?

Mike
Look here for my articles and hardware & software that I recommend.
The Doomsday Clock - It's five minutes to midnight - think about it... do something about it!
Psion II CM -> Psion II XP -> Psion II LZ -> Psion 3 -> Psion 5 -> O2 Xda II -> O2 Xda IIi -> Psion 5 -> O2 Xda II + Nokia 3310 -> Dell Inspiron 9400 running Ubuntu + Nokia 6234 (no more Windows Mobile for me!)
My new device is Linux based and it doesn't include a camera, a phone or an MS operating system! Oh, and I also have a Topfield PVRt, a TomTom ONE and a Wii - all of which also use nice, stable Linux... luxury! |

The most used 3rd party software for me would be Destinator PN and All In Texas Hold 'Em. That tells you something....
